I've had enough.

MIdterms. Ewww...

[insert insanely clever post here becuase SIlver wants to curl up and die before she has to present for Japanese and by the way, she only memorized about three words of it and oh yes, she is rather screwed, thank-you ever so much for noticing and now go away because you're screwing with the wrong person today 'cause she's going to stabstabstab someone. Soon. Rawrawr.}

Props to Karen for finding FAWM. I totally can't wait and I have to resist the temptation to start writing lyrics before February now.

Got a new cell after I sent my old one through the wash. Same number.

He surprises  me sometimes, but each day, I can tell myself with more confidence that no, I don't like him, thanks. I think so, anyways.

ACKBIOIRMYPOORPLANTSDEADEADEAD

I wish my Mongols review sheet would go write itself.

Pay it forward & pay it back. Talking about Bio notes, of course. Can't wait to see when other people finally feel the guilt/gratitude set in.

If I ever have children, I'm gonna give them nerdy science-y names and laugh when they're teased at school.. Like Adenine or Thymine XD

I [heart] you when you make me feel like I belong when I really, well, don't.

I've made my very tentative decision about what I want for my hair- going to let it grow out  'til junior year, then once swim season ends ('cause Silver felt SO left out when the girls did victory braids and her layered hair was too short for that and had to resort to pigtails-ewww), she's cutting it above her shoulders, letting it grow out 'til after swim season of senior year, then waiting around 'til she gets a chance to go to Flushing ($7 haircuts <33) and getting it cut really, really short. Of course, if she ever convinces her mom to let her dye her hair blue or get brown highlights, she's going to do that ASAP- tips & streaks.

I don't like you. Please get used to it.

Read an amazing ItaSasuSai fic.

Can't wait 'til summer...

Take off your clothes, take off your clothes, CTY, we love you <3333 ((American Pie, Stairway to Heaven, Forever Young <3))

Yeah, I know you're a hypocrite, and I don't ever want to see your name again. You even remind me a little of him, and that's not a good thing.

Guesswhatguesswhatguesswhat- Silver's birthday is February 9th- a Saturday. Guess what else. We don't have school February 8th! Some sort of conference, I think?

...I miss swimming.

&& I miss the girls D=

And here we are...

Well, here's to us all for surviving thus far.

I'm counting down the days 'til CTY now, and I know you guys are all sick of hearing me talk about it, but I can't help it. Sure, it was horrible two years ago with jappy girls and being sick half the session, but I fell back in love with it last year. Now if only we could get rid of the arrogant little assholes there...

Do you guys want to help me choose my course for next year? Here's my list of choices: click

Yeah, I'm stuck with sciences, as usual, which just sucks. The only ones I wanted to do (Intro to Biomed and History of Disease) I've already done, so...

You guys are amazing, you know. Thanks for everything.

Five fucking hours of studying for AP had BETTER pay off or I WILL kill someone. And since science is next period, it'll probably be my squishy group. [sneersneer] I don't like them anyways.

'Cept Christine, of course. She takes English notes for me =D

Longest time of the year

Well. December.

What should I say?

You all know by now that I hate the winter and the cold. Make me sick and irritable. And cold, damnmit.

Oct. 13th, 2007

Excuses and NaNo

Yes, I know- I haven't been on here since forever, but I have a good excuse! ...kind of...

It involves AP World and swimming, as usual. XD

Anyways.

Swim season's going okay, I guess. Not making much progress, like I was a couple weeks ago, but that's to be expected. Meet against Ardsley on Tuesday- that's our biggest meet of the season.

----

I think I've finalized my decision to change plots for NaNo. Except... well, I kind of thought up a third plot. Yes, a THIRD plot. And there's always the one I outlined for NaNo last year... Ack. Too many choices. I'm pretty sure I'll go with the second one, though, 'cause that one should've been written months ago. I started it during the summer, but I'm dumping the 2k I have and starting all over. I completely screwed up with the timeline, so I'll have to edit the outline, and probably expand it. Yes, EXPAND the outline, even though it's over 10 pages. And it's what, 4,000 words by now?

Well, so far, the novel-to-be is going to be split up into seven parts: The History, The Foundation, The Rift, The Unfolding, The Event, The Aftermath, and The Decline. Yeah, I know those are pretty crappy titles, but they tell exactly what's going to be in that section of the novel, so I'm keeping them, with the possible exception of The Aftermath, which might be changed to The Attempt. I could possibly scratch The Aftermath altogether and just go to The Decline and make the seventh part The Rebuilding. It depends on how long The Event is, I guess. And I REALLY want to change "The Event" so something that sounds better, but my brain's dead right now, so...

Parts 1-5 have been outlined, and 6-7 are outlined in my head, so I should have enough to get through the first week of NaNoWriMo -.-"

And in case I don't have 50k by the time I've written the whole thing (REALLY unlikely, since the novel's going to have lengthy rants, angry people screaming at each other in, and exchanges of insults in chatspeak), I do have plans for an alternate ending, which is basically "What if the FMC chose to do this instead of that?" and it'll force me to rewrite everything from the middle of Part Five to the end. And if I don't have 50k, by then, well, I guess I'll just have to make a Table of Contents, an Index, glossary, a REALLY long Author's Note, a REALLY long dedication, and so on ^_^

Can't wait 'til November =D

Only three moments...

I know- I'm a bad, evil little Silver for completely neglecting her poor, defenseless LJ.

Not much has been going on- 20-page outlines, CM/Labs, and lots of swimming.

We won three freaking meets in a row, though, so that's good.

[sighs]

Yeah, not much to say. Kinda tired.

Will try to write more some other day, when I'm not desperate to get back to HouseChase fanfiction XD

Sep. 3rd, 2007

I know what I want and this is it...

Well, if you haven't heard the news already... I SWAM A FREAKING 29 IN 50 FREE!!! And that was AFTER practice in an UNOFFICIAL race!

And breaking 30 seconds for a 50 Free is HUGE for me, 'cause if you're 13-14 years old and you go under 30.19 in an official race, then you qualify for the Silvers Championships (read: swim meet) in the 50 free. Of course, it doesn't count if you got your time swimming for a school team (I think), but if I swim it for high school, I can swim it for Condors in the winter meets, right?

'kay- for all you swimming-Illiterate people, your swimming times are generally broken up into four categories- Age Group, Silvers, JO's (Junior Olympics), and Zones (Zone Qualifications). Age Group people have the slowest times and Zones people are the crazy-fast ones who are generally insane. There are different standards (read: times for each event) that you have to make in order to qualify for the Silvers/JO's/Zones/whatever meets, and the standards change based on your age (there's the 8&under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, and 19&up age groups)

I haven't been able to make Silvers for a while. I totally blame my birthday. See- my birthday's February 9th and the Silvers meet is usually the first or second week in February. So I usually have the bad luck to age up before the meet. A couple years back, I qualified for Silvers in about 6 events, but then I turned 13 the freaking DAY before Silvers started, so I couldn't go since I didn't make any of the 13-14 standards.

[sighs]

I think the same thing happened when I was 10-turning-11. It's actually rather depressing. I think I made a JO time for my 50 Back when I was 12... But JO's are in March and I turned 13 in February so that disqualified me again...

ANYWAYS

On a slightly different note, we have our first scrimmage on Saturday. That should be fun, I guess. Can't wait to see exactly how high school swim meets work...

----

I think I have an ear infection... My ear hurts TT.TT

...or maybe it's just swollen from when that idiot kicked me in the head... XDD

JESSIE- I can't believe you! You read that vampire story and LIKED it?!

[sobs]

Now it's only me and Christine... I think...

I haven't been on here lately, huh? Sorry about that. See, I have a confession to make.

I've been keeping a Writer's Notebook.

I know, I know- I'm crazy to do so after what we went through with Mrs. Quinson... But I'm writing a real Writer's Notebook. I consider Mrs. Quinson's WN to be more of a Reader's Response Notebook.

'Course, all the stuff I'm writing in there is pure crap, but... well.. [shrugs] It gives me something to do at 3 AM.

Preseason starts on Monday!

And, yeah. Nothing else has been going on, really.

#$@^&*!*)(*!&@^$

Okay, I spoke too soon.

Got a call from Mr. Maloney from the North Guidance Counselors. I have a schedule conflict between Biology 9H and Math 3H.

What. The. Fuck.

Those are possibly the WORST two subjects for me to have a conflict with!!

Option #1: I can either take Math 3H, drop to Biology 9R, and drop Latin completely to make room for Biology 9R.

Option #2: Or, I can drop to Math 3R and take Biology 9H.

Let's discuss my opinion of each option like reasonable people. Nothing I say is meant to offend anyone- I'm just pissed and typing whatever comes into my head.

Option #1: What the fuck- do you think I'm CRAZY?! I worked my freaking ass off with Mr. Lee so I'd be recommended for Honors! And do you think I'm gonna throw that out the window?! Uh, NO.

If I knew this would happen, I'd've dropped to regular ES and probably gotten an A+ in that AND Global. I gave up my freaking GPA just for that Honors placement, never mind that a bunch of other people went into regular ES and got a waiver into honors ><

I worked for that little H next to the 9, and I WANT TO KEEP IT THERE.

IN ADDITION- there are two teachers for 9H Bio. One doesn't recommend people to AP Chem in Sophomore year at all. However, the other teacher does, and I want that AP Chem placement. Yes, I can get my mother to call the school and yell at them for a good long time 'til they let me in, but I want to try my hand at getting that placement by my own merits.

I just killed myself last year to stay in ES honors. After doing that, then DROPPING to regular Bio? You've got to be freaking kidding. I just went through one of the hardest science courses EVER, and then I'm dropping to a REGULAR course? When even honors Bio is a freaking joke?!

Option #2: I'll be the freaking joke if I take a regular Math course.

I woke up at an ungodly hour for the whole school year so I could continue in 2H Math, then go on to 3H. I BS-ed my way through a 10-page research paper to stay in honors. I don't think i'll be throwing that H away without a fight. If I didn't have to wake up at 6:30AM everyday, I also would have gotten an A+ in both Global and ES. But, no- Clarkstown isn't going to open a 2H Math class for four people [sneersneer]

Honestly, wouldn't I be a freaking joke if I choose to take 3R? The people at South'll laugh their bloody little heads off at me [murdermurder]

Math is cumulative. Bio and Chem are not. Sequential Math III also happens to be one of the hardest math courses. I also have to take the Regents as my final. In other words, it doesn't matter how I do in Bio honors- it has almost nothing to do with Chem, therefore I stand a good chance of arguing my way into AP Chem in Sophomore year. However, some of the people in honors math are just stupid- no offense, but I have no idea how some of them got in there. Now, dropping to a regular class? I think I'd die.

Not only that, but it's a Regents year. I don't want to pass the Regents with an 85. I will not settle for that. I happen to like seeing that 100 on my report card. So, d'you think I'd be able to manage it if I go into a regular class, when the teacher explains things slower than a snail, and the students are three times slower than that?

----

Now, technically, I have three options. See, the problem is that the only times open for Math 3H is 3rd and 8th period. The only period I have open for Bio 9H is 8th period. I could drop Japanese 2H, BUT the 3rd period class for Math 3H is already filled. In other words, I'd be put on a waiting list.

Waiting list? Haha- that's funny. No. Freaking. Way.

So that eliminates that option ^_^

----

Anyways, I'm going to talk to guidance tomorrow or Wednesday and see if it'll help if I drop band or AP World History. I really don't want to drop AP World, but I don't think I'm going to have a choice ><

s.i.l.v.e.r

Musing and ramblings...

Actually, I don't have much to say. Haven't really been doing anything lately...

Let's see... I've been reading Animorphs fanfiction ^_^

I've avoided cleaning up my room...

I'm going to swim practice today...

Going to the library after swim practice...

Oh, am hooked on the Fearless FBI series by Francine Pascal. And I just learned that Fearless FBI is a sequel to the Fearless series o.O I didn't know that... And I pretty much understood everything in the first book of the Fearless FBI series... I dunno- only four books of the Fearless FBI series is out, so I'll probably read those first, then backtrack to Fearless... Not sure...

Oh, well. That's not really important.

Um... Aaaaand... Yeah, that's pretty much it.

3AM and a red ink pen...

I know exactly what my NaNoWriMo's going to be about. I should do more brainstorming and writing at 3AM. And I'm now worshipping the red pen I wrote the summary in.

I now have 7 pages on Word describing the first part of the novel. And the first part isn't even 1/5 of the whole thing =D

Nano-ing is going to be sooo much fun! Can't wait 'til November!

Do you blame me for being bitter?

s.i.l.v.e.r

Jul. 21st, 2007

And she didn't disappoint...

FINISHED DEATHLY HALLOWS!!! Reading it was the best five hours of my summer- excluding CTY, of course ^_^

I won't give too much away, but Kreacher and Dobby are adorable, Ron was an idiot (what else is new? But we love him anyways XD), I loved the battle, Neville Longbottom was awesome, I'm totally confused about the Dumbledore-Malfoy transition near the end, I heart Snape (yes, even after everything that happened), I've learned never to piss Molly Weasley off, and the epilogue was horribly pathetic.

----

On a different note, I think I owe it to several people to rant about the high school swim team for a while.

How dare they presume they could refuse John and Bobby a coaching contract without causing an uproar?! The people I've talked to were really upset about what's been going on- some of the girls were saying (threatening, really) that they wouldn't join the swim team unless they got Bobby and John back (I'd probably do the same thing ^_^).

kk- long story short, John and Bobby were the head coaches for the Clarkstown High School Swim Team (they also coach on Condors- my swim team) and they were refused a coaching contract for the coming school year. They weren't given a reason why the contract was refused- or else we, the swimmers, were just not informed (I heard that it was 'cause the assistant coach is also a New York Sharks (another private swim team) coach, and he was complaining-- and I heard something else about Sectionals, but I honestly have no idea what's going on). There was a school board meeting on Thursday, and John was hired as Head Coach, but I have no idea about Bobby.

Honestly, why is there even a question about having them back? Those two are the best freaking coaches I've had to date-- and I've been through a LOT of coaches.

At least we have John back...

Some people are saying that the school board is refusing to hire Bobby- and some people are saying that Bobby was sick of the politics going on and refused to come back.

Whatever's going on, they had better figure it out. ><

Okay, news that all of you'd like to know- SILVER IS CHANGING HER EMAIL ADDRESS.
